Leschi Pavillion
Leschi Neighborhood, Seattle

About Leschi Pavillion
This outdoor living project sits on a 15,000 square foot lot with a tennis court. The clients wanted to renovate the dated outdoor spaces and add a pavilion and hot tub area for entertaining and relaxing. The tennis court felt disconnected from the rest of the property, so they envisioned a design that was aesthetically cohesive throughout.
In the basement, we converted an existing room into an indoor entertainment space with a bar and bathroom, then relocated the doors to connect it directly to the outdoor areas. Along with the new pavilion and hot tub, we installed 3,000 square feet of bluestone pavers, updated the firepit area and fishpond, and redesigned the front entrance gate. A mixture of stone, wood and limestone in the pavilion stands up to the outdoor elements, and both a fireplace and electric ceiling heaters make the space comfortable year-round. This project received the 2020 MBAKS Remodeling Excellence Award for Outdoor Living.
