Queen Anne Kitchen

Queen Anne Neighborhood, Seattle

About Queen Anne Kitchen

The kitchen in this 1926 Queen Anne Craftsman, although previously remodeled, felt narrow and dark and did not fit our client’s aesthetic. To transform the space, we opened the kitchen entry way for a more seamless transition into the dining room and on the opposite end, replaced a solid door with one with a window to introduce additional light. The Shaker style, white-painted cabinets, and Farmer-style sink contributed to the overall bright, clean, and modern look. The client wanted concrete countertops, but as the material can be problematic, we suggested an alternative material that looks like concrete, but is much more durable for the life span of the kitchen. This remodel project was a complete gut to the reframing through rebuild, typical of the scope of most of our kitchen projects.
