Queen Anne DADU

Queene Anne Neighborhood, Seattle

About Queen Anne DADU

Our client needed a home office that wasn’t inside of the house. The detached garage had an old workshop area that was not being used and was the perfect location for it. It was important to our client to mimic the clean, modern aesthetic of the house. This was achieved by matching the windows and door style with the custom fabricated metal awnings and using the same siding that is on the house. As a creative touch, we fabricated modern, industrial steps with three blocks of poured concrete. Inside, we matched the details of the house that included creating a shadow line at the bottom of the walls to eliminate traditional baseboard as well as not having traditional trim around the windows and door. This home office is much more than just a place to work, our client loves being in the space to simply relax.
